If you want to join the +200 analytical and creative minds who possess the right balance of intellectual capabilities and excellent people skills topped with an entrepreneurial spirit and high level of drive, please continue reading.

What we are looking for

We believe that the biggest questions are best answered by insisting on keeping ambition and compassion in the same mental space. We look for candidates with strong academic results, an entrepreneurial spirit, analytical and creative minds and big hearts beating for management consulting. Our consultants have many different backgrounds, the most common ones being MBAs or MScs in business or economics, engineering or science. We look for people from all over the world, but it’s a prerequisite that you write and speak English.

Career path

Management consulting is a people business, and we do our best to help our people thrive and grow through our structured Academy programme and by continually exposing them to new challenges. Over time, everyone is expected to take on more responsibility in terms of project complexity, relationship building, project/people management and contributing to building our civilisation. This is reflected in the progressive levels of our career model, each associated with additional responsibility and performance expectations.

 The QVARTZ recruiting experience

We don’t believe in standard industry solutions or methodologies. We believe in innovative processes, in (wo)men biting dogs, big dreams, high ambitions and flexible solutions. That’s why we have ditched the traditional recruitment model and designed an iconic recruiting experience where it’s just as important for the applicants to get to know us as it is for us to get to know them.

The QVARTZ recruiting experience is a combination of personal interviews, a numerical test and case exercises on business dilemmas. You will meet potential new colleagues up close and get the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in problem solving and analytical reasoning. If we meet your expectations and you meet ours, you will leave with a contract by the end of the day.

The elements of our recruitment process are the same across our three offices. However, the frequency and duration of the recruitment process differs slightly. Choose your preferred location to read more about the local recruitment process and upcoming deadlines.
Copenhagen

In Copenhagen, we welcome candidates to recruitment days on an ongoing basis. First, selected candidates will be invited to a personal interview and a numerical test. If we both believe there is reason to continue the process, you will be invited to a full recruitment day with both individual and group case exercises as well as partner interviews.

Our next recruitment day will be in the autumn of 2017. However, we continually process applications, so you are always welcome to send yours. Information on specific deadlines and recruitment dates will be announced here.

If you have any questions about the recruitment process in Copenhagen, Sara Magnusson is your go-to person.

Stockholm

In Stockholm, we typically recruit new full-time consultants in the spring and in the autumn. Selected candidates are invited to a two-day recruiting experience that includes a personal interview and a numerical test as well as a combination of individual and group case exercises.

If you have questions about the recruitment process in Stockholm, contact Sara Magnusson. Upcoming recruitment dates and deadlines will be posted here.

Oslo

In Oslo, we typically recruit new full-time consultants in September each year. Selected candidates are invited for a personal interview and a numerical test, followed by a full recruitment day with individual interviews and group case interviews. However, applications are processed on an ongoing basis, so you are always welcome to send yours. Information on specific deadlines and recruitment dates will be announced here.

If you have any questions about the recruitment process in Oslo, Elise Langerød is your friend in need.

Nice to know when applying

Once invited for an interview, you can expect a combination of aptitude, personality and competency tests. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in problem solving and analytical reasoning as well share a bit about yourself.

It may sound as a cliché, but simply be yourself and show your personality. Think of the interview as a two-way street; it’s just as important for you to get to know us as for us to get to know you.

Three good tips on how to prepare

  1. Prepare for case interviews [Download our guide here] and numerical test. Make sure you are familiar with the most common types of cases, and try not to cling too much to specific learnt-by-heart frameworks.
  2. Practice some quick calculations without a calculator.
  3. Reflect on who you are and how to be yourself. Consider how you want to interact with the rest of the group – both in group interviews and under less formal circumstances.

Apply

If you are interested in joining QVARTZ, please send us your complete application, including the following documents (as separate files). You can select which position you are applying for in the application form.

  1. Motivation letter (in English)
  2. Your CV
  3. Diplomas from your bachelor’s degree, any studies abroad as well as your general certificate of secondary education or qualifying exam

If you have any questions, please contact us at recruiting@qvartz.com.

Anything that gets your blood racing is probably worth doing

COPENHAGEN: Our team of Junior Consultants are the best in the world. Not just because they are the most competent and ambitions students around, performing tasks comparable to those of full-time consultants and participating in projects with leading Scandinavian clients, but also because they are an energetic community who contributes and adds to the perspective of our entire civilisation. Right now, we are looking for more Junior Consultants to join our Copenhagen office.

See you at the castle

SWEDEN: In management consulting, teamwork plays an essential role. In each project team, everybody needs to use their unique skills to achieve the best joint team performance. On May 4, we invite selected students from LTH to join us for an afternoon where you will get to try a few fun disciplines – and learn a thing or two about QVARTZ’ take on management consulting.

Shaken, not stirred

COPENHAGEN: When mixing the perfect cocktail, it’s all about the balance. The ingredients should complement each other and bring out the best in each flavour, creating the perfect blend. To us, this is true in management consulting as well. On April 27, we invite selected non-Scandinavian students to join us for an informal evening where you will meet some of our consultants with an international background.
