The rise of responsible investments
For the past 20 years, asset owners have attempted to determine the risks as well as the opportunities of integrating environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) into investment processes and decision-making. More and more players are looking to adopt an ESG strategy. But is it at all possible for asset owners to achieve a 100% ESG portfolio? Last week, QVARTZ Engagement Partner and sustainability expert, Ylva Lindberg, moderated a roundtable discussion on this specific topic at the annual TBLI Nordic 2018 – a leading conference where institutional investors, fund distributors and asset owners across the Nordics meet to discuss latest investment trends. In the roundtable were Damian Payiatakis, Director of Impact Investing at Barclay Wealth, Carina Silberg, Head of Sustainability at Alecta Pensionsforsäkring, Mikael Angberg, CIO at AP Fonden and Jan-Erik Saugestad, CEO at Storebrand Asset Management.
