It is with a combination of pride, excitement and high expectations that we welcome Jesper Rønnow Simonsen as a Senior Advisor to our Public team. Those who read Danish newspapers will probably know Jesper from his former CEO-role in SKAT, the Danish taxation agency with more than 6,000 employees, during some of their most tumultuous years. Jesper also has significant senior management experience from the Municipality of Copenhagen and the Ministry of Culture. In addition, he has held many important network positions, including in the Nordic Tax Collaboration and the Public Top Leader forum.
One thing is what Jesper has held of formal positions. Equally important is who he is and what he wants to do in the future. Jesper is known as a thoughtful, strategic and ambitious public top leader, who has been a vocal participant in the ongoing debate about the development of the public sector – and not least its employees. In our many dialogues with Jesper, we have come to know him as a great guy that combines experience with curiosity and ambition with humbleness. In QVARTZ, Jesper’s role will be to assist the Public team in taking its agenda to new heights, breadths and depths, and he is a key component in our ambition to broaden and fortify our public sector work across Scandinavia. Welcome, Jesper! We are very excited to see what our common future holds.
