Goodwings is a new and exciting company born with a purpose of changing the travel industry for the better. Earlier this week, they invited a large number of people to a co-hosted reception at the QVARTZ office in Copenhagen, and presented their thoughts on profit through purpose. Goodwings’ business model is founded on strategic partnerships with a large number of NGOs and private companies.
Instead of spending enormous sums of money on advertisements and commercials, which is the norm in the travel industry, Goodwings use their co-operation partners as ambassadors, using word-to-mouth to inform about Goodwings’ services. The large amount of money that is saved when steering clear of expensive traditional marketing methods goes directly to the NGOs, who all support one or several of the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals. We are inspired by Goodwings’ mission of making the travel industry more sustainable, and look forward to taking part in the journey.
