QVARTZ annual report: Opposition

QVARTZ’s latest annual report has arrived.

Two-time Pulitzer winner Walter Lippmann once said: “Opposition is indispensable. A good statesman, like any other sensible human being, learns more from his opposition than from his fervent supporters”.

Opposition is indispensable, also for management consultants seeking to change status quo. At QVARTZ, it is even more than that – opposition is a “raison d’être”. Even though our company is firmly rooted in the traditional, professional values of tier-one management consulting, it was founded with the clear intention of changing the industry from within.
A quick glance at the term “to oppose” in the dictionaries provides the following definitions: “to fight”, “to compete against”, “to disagree with” or “to counterbalance something”. At QVARTZ, as this report shows, we are indeed fighting, competing and disagreeing. In close collaboration with our clients, we seek to counterbalance the establishment.

While our annual report certainly tells the story of a great year at QVARTZ, even more so it tells the stories of a number of courageous and intriguing companies.
