QVARTZ DOGBITERS: Inken and the great unknown

“I grew up close to the border between Germany and Denmark, so for me, the Nordic heritage of QVARTZ is something I instantly felt very connected to”. Inken Schäfer is a Senior Consultant at QVARTZ’ Hamburg office. Her strong desire to gain new knowledge, meet new people and experience different industries is what made her quit her job in the renewables industry a couple of years back and choose management consulting as a vocation. Inken joined what was then Bülow & Consorten in Hamburg – and which is today part of the QVARTZ civilisation.

To Inken, the shift from Bülow to QVARTZ was a positive experience: “To me, it became clear very early on in the process that we were very similar both culturally and in our interactions with clients. The merger has given us a larger community with an extended knowledge- and expertise base. I am particularly happy about getting so many great and bright new colleagues”, says Inken.

Inken’s desire for new challenges is also reflected in her passion for diving, which she shares with her boyfriend. After extended trips to Indonesia and New Zealand, they will soon go to Cuba to explore the country both above and below the surface. We are sure that there will be many more deep dives ahead, both professionally and in the big blue.
