Team QVARTZ is excited to welcome aboard Stein Dale as a unique subject matter expert on global energy markets as well as large-scale strategic transformations. “The whole energy sector is going through a ‘perfect storm’, with major changes both financially and technologically as well as in regulatory frameworks and customer behaviour. I am really looking forward to joining QVARTZ, and I am excited to be part of the team”, says Stein.
Stein has recently returned to Norway after four years with E.ON, an international, privately owned energy supplier with more than 56,000 employees worldwide. Through his position as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development and CEO of E.ON International Markets, Stein was leading the transformation strategy project that ultimately led to the splitting of the group into two entities: E.ON SE and Uniper SE. Prior to this, Stein served as CEO and Member of the Board of Directors at Multiconsult from 2011 to 2012. From 2002 to 2011, Stein held several managerial positions within Statkraft – most recently as Executive Vice President and CFO. Statkraft is Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy, with 4,200 employees in more than 20 countries. Statkraft produces hydropower, wind power, gas-fired power and district heating, and is a global player in energy market operations.
“I also had the pleasure of working in the telecom industry, but that was in the last century”, says Stein – referring to his positions in companies such as Tandberg Telecom and Telia.
Stein will join our client-serving teams as a subject matter expert and a tenured leader with a strong experience log. He brings a deep and profound understanding of the European energy markets, and has worked extensively with M&A and strategy issues. Stein has been a central figure in leading large-scale transformational projects, with an approach that builds confidence and trust. Furthermore, Stein enjoys a life rich on perspectives as he is married to a professional artist.
The QVARTZ civilisation welcomes Stein, and looks forward to spending time together and utilising all the insights gained through his extraordinary career.
